Gift ideas, by who you’re shopping for
The best photo is the one of the thing they love most. Places and pets make especially good paintings, and they don’t need anyone in them.
Example
Example
For her
Her garden. The beach she keeps going back to. Her horse, her cat. The view from a trip you took together.
Example
For parents
The house they raised you in. The farm. The lake place. The family dog. No good photo of the house? Ask a sibling. Someone always has one.
Example
For couples
Your engagement photo, your first trip together, the place you got married. For couples, go big: 18x24 and up.
Example
For pet lovers
Their dog on the couch, their cat in the window. Just the pet, no people needed. For someone who lost a pet this year, a painting of them can be a gentle gift.

Christmas gift questions
When should I order a custom painting so it arrives by Christmas?
In the US, order by December 7 (estimated). Printing takes 2–5 business days, US orders usually arrive 5–9 business days after you order, and December 7 leaves room for holiday delays. For Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia, delivery takes 8–17 business days, so order by late November (estimated). Carriers slow down in December and we can't guarantee a delivery date, so earlier is safer.
Can you ship the painting straight to the person I'm giving it to?
Yes. At checkout, tick "This is a gift" and enter their name and address. We ship it to them directly, with your message printed on the packing slip. If you'd rather wrap it yourself, ship it to your own address.
Will they find out before Christmas?
Only if you want them to. The gift form asks for their email, but it's optional. If you add it, they get an email when the painting ships. Leave it blank to keep it a surprise. You get the order confirmation and tracking either way.
What if I miss the Christmas shipping date?
Send a 4K digital download ($9.99), which arrives by email right after checkout, or a gift card that lands in their inbox on the date you choose, such as Christmas morning. With a gift card, they pick the photo, the style and the size themselves.
What photo makes the best Christmas gift?
The one of the thing they love most: their lake, their boat, their dog, their house, a trip you took together. Photos of places and pets make good paintings and don't need anyone in them. If there are people in it, a candid photo usually beats a posed one.
Can I see the painting before I buy it?
Yes. Upload the photo, choose a style and the preview is ready in about a minute. It's free, and you can try the other styles on the same photo before you decide.
How much does a custom painting from a photo cost?
Stretched canvas starts at $55 for 8x10. 16x20 is $95, 18x24 is $109, 24x36 is $159 and 30x40 is $215. Shipping is included. A 4K digital download is $9.99, and gift cards start at $10.
Is it hand-painted?
No. The painting is made by AI from your photo and printed on stretched canvas with archival, UV-resistant inks. You see exactly how it looks before you pay.
Do you ship to Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia in time for Christmas?
Yes, and shipping is included. Delivery outside the US takes 8–17 business days, so order by late November (estimated). After that, a digital download or a gift card is the safer choice.
